Daily life at Tinkers Hatch follows the routine of normal family life, with clients involved in all aspects of running the home through their forum

A wide variety of social, educational and recreational activities are available to all.

Key to our quality of care is to identify, develop and maintain each individual's skill base, as well as supporting their presence within both Tinkers Hatch and the wider community.

We provide opportunities for education, leisure and social interaction by:
  • Encouraging and supporting residents to explore their interests and talents
  • Continually developing person-centred planning
The staff team are skilled and experienced at supporting individuals through:
  • A person-centred approach
  • Involvement in the  community - including attendance at theatre, cinema, church, clubs, and sporting events
  • College courses
  • Clients' forum
  • Social Activities - discos, parties and barbeques with friends
  • Visits to places of interest

Tinkers Hatch is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and contributes to the National Minimum Data Set (NMDS), recognising the organisation's commitment to staff development in order to provide a flexible and proactive service for each individual.
